An operational gristmill, built in 1785 and sitting at the crossroads in the quaint village of Millwood, Virginia, becomes an extraordinary art gallery every spring and fall. Art at the Mill is sponsored by the Clarke County Historical Association with support from the Berryville/Clarke County Chamber of Commerce and It is the primary fundraiser that pays operating expenses at both the Mill and the Museum.

Directions to the Burwell Morgan Mill:
 
From points east:
Take Route 66 west to exit 23, Route 17 north (Delaplane/Paris). Go 6 miles on 17 to left on Route 50 west. Go over mountain, across Shenandoah River and proceed about 2 miles to Bishop Meade Road - Route 255. Take right and go 1/2 mile. Take left on Millwood Road, Route 723. Mill is straight in front of you on left.

OR

Take the Dulles Greenway to Route 7 west. At Berryville, take Route 340 south and go about 3 miles. Turn left on Bishop Meade Road, Route 255, and proceed another 3 miles to intersection in "downtown" Millwood. Turn left on Route 723, mill is straight ahead on right.
